About the role
The Role
Are you experienced in Machine Control technology and passionate about delivering exceptional technical support? We're looking for a Technical Support Engineer to join our growing Survey & Safety division.
Working as part of our Technical Support Team, you'll provide expert support across our range of Machine Control products and engineering software, helping customers and colleagues get the very best from our technology. This is a hands-on role that combines technical expertise, customer interaction, training, demonstrations, and site-based support.
From assisting with equipment installations and calibrations to delivering customer training and technical advice, you'll play a key role in supporting projects across the UK. If you enjoy problem-solving, working with cutting-edge technology, and building strong customer relationships, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Please note: Regular travel throughout the UK will be required, including overnight stays when necessary. The role can be based in Scotland or the North of England, with travel to customer sites, GAP depots, and projects across the UK.
About You
What You'll Be Doing
• Providing expert technical support, troubleshooting, and engineering advice to customers remotely and on-site
• Installing, commissioning, calibrating, and maintaining Machine Control equipment and software
• Delivering product demonstrations and technical training to customers and internal teams
• Supporting customers with digital models, data transfer workflows, and Machine Control applications within earthworks and construction projects
• Working closely with Depot Managers and the Sales Team to identify opportunities, resolve technical issues, and deliver outstanding customer service
What You'll Bring
• Experience working with Machine Control equipment, associated software, and construction technology solutions
• Knowledge of digital modelling, earthworks, road construction, or related engineering applications
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently
• Excellent communication, customer service, and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• A full UK driving licence, willingness to travel extensively across the UK, and the ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
